Working Groups - Environmantal Enhancement

The Environmental Enhancement Working Group meets on a regular basis to develop and discuss projects. Projects worked on so far include an environmental action plan developed with community consultation, the re-instatement of some cast iron signposts with more planned for the future, a new seat for Garrigill Village Green, litter picks, and the Alston Town Trail leaflet. New projects under discussion include a scoping survey on Haggs Mineshop, improvements to the Alston to Blagill bridleway, tree planting and a new interpretation panel for Fairhill.
